"Laighla"

This piece was requested by one of my former coworkers.  It was to be teal and yellow with maybe a bunch of poinsettias.  This is what the creative process produced.  I added some faux pearls and pearl-colored seed beads to tie the color scheme together.  Hidden bells under the flowers give it a festive jingle.  All hand-beaded.

"Avonlea"

A companion piece for "Anthony" and "Kristen."

"Arline"

A companion piece for "Stephen," Arline reportedly loves cats.

"Stephen"

This piece was supposed to reflect a love of stamp collecting and a bit of the German family heritage.  The stamps are a cotton quilting print on felt.

Highlander x2 - "Anthony" and "Kristen"

This request was for the "Highlander" design, but full-sized and with name tags.  The linings were also changed to Christmas cotton quilting fabric, one with poinsettias and the other with snowflakes.

Colt

This cowboy-style stocking was made for a distant newborn cousin of mine in Montana.  The saddle on the horse was made of genuine leather with as much accuracy as possible on such a small scale.  All the rope, bridle and reins were handmade of sewing thread.  The body was made of blue denim, lined with white satin.

Mother-in-Law

Father-in-Law

My husband's family really appreciated the stockings I made for them a few years ago, so I completed the family set this year.  These were made of suede and are of the "family style" rather than designer variety.

Highlander ~ $40

Highlander is made of a light cotton plaid with a few red and green sparkle threads running through it.  It is approximately 14" long with a red satin lining.  Decorated with small silver-tone jingle bells, glass seed beads and a plastic dog button.  It was an experiment with a more whimsical buckle design.

A matching name tag can be made if desired.

David, Jr.

This is the half sized stocking I made for our son, Little David, who died at two days old.  It is approximately 14" long, made of blue velvet with silver accent trim and white satin lining.

Each piece was made with the usual suspects: craft felt, ribbon, and glass seed beads.

The harp was for his biblical namesake, the scallop shell for being born and baptized in Monterey, California, and the little soldier was just cute.
