Stardust - "Bonnie"
This piece was requested for my cousin, who reportedly likes "angels and country churches." The church was entirely handmade of felt, except for the Vintaj brass accents. The stained glass was made with seed beads. The angel was a button, and the spray of stardust was made with individually stitched seed beads, matching the original pattern of the fabric. Some were reflective and other clear to give it a slight shimmery effect. The lining is cotton quilting fabric.
Sportsman I - "Thomas"
This commission doesn't need much explanation. It is decorated with wooden beads at the top, two pinecone buttons, and a squirrel made of felt and a faux fur tail.
Austen I - "Amy"
This commission required that I combine three loves of Jane Austen, music, and the color sky blue. The master design is a needlepoint rendering of the musical notation of Adeste Fidelis in Gregorian chant. The crest is decorated with tassels and satin covered buttons.

Mini I-IV - Cousins-in-Law
This request was for miniature stockings. Due to space limitations, I used traditional Christmas iconography rather than personalized images. Each one is approximately 6-7" long.

Highlander x2 - "Anthony" and "Kristen"
This request was for the "Highlander" design, but full-sized and with name tags. The linings were also changed to Christmas cotton quilting fabric, one with poinsettias and the other with snowflakes.

Rustic II - "John"
This was made as a companion piece for "Jill", following the same rustic theme. An elk was requested, which led me to experiment with fabric paint to bring out the details. Fabric paint was also used on the two deer and the background mountains. The tree is decorated with the same red glass seed beads and red jasper, with hand-tied hemp twine bows. It is lined with the same cotton quilting material as "Jill".
The red glass chili peppers were included by special request. ;)
Rustic I - "Jill"
This stocking was commissioned with the instructions that it have "nothing shiny." This is what we came up with, snowball-fighting snowmen, a few labradors, and a rustic tree. The tree is decorated with red glass seed beads, red jasper beads, and handmade bows (made of sewing thread). The snowmen are dressed in yarn hats and scarves. It is lined with a cotton quilting fabric.

Busiest Time of the Year
The blog has been rather slow lately, but that's because I've been working on several personal commissions and obviously can't reveal the pictures until Christmas. :)
I'll start posting pictures of the completed pieces in pairs beginning Christmas Day.

Gone Fishing ~ $35
Here's a minimalist "man stocking" to address the lack of masculine selections on this site. It is made of a soft brown plaid wool, lined with a textured linen-type fabric, and decorated with a fish button and three clear plastic droplet beads. It is approximately 20" long.

Colt
This cowboy-style stocking was made for a distant newborn cousin of mine in Montana. The saddle on the horse was made of genuine leather with as much accuracy as possible on such a small scale. All the rope, bridle and reins were handmade of sewing thread. The body was made of blue denim, lined with white satin.

Peppermint Riot ~ $35
Made of an ivory cotton blend fabric with a red satin lining, a combination of several different ribbons and trims, sixteen tassels, eight small red bows with faux pearls, and eight handmade lampwork glass peppermint beads.
Beach Bum ~ $55
This one is for those who would rather spend Christmas in the sand than the snow. It is approximately 14" long, made of a soft sandy-colored upholstery fabric with scalloped lace. The three largest pieces were hand beaded, accented with genuine shells, freshwater pearls, and small pieces of jasper. The lining is a rustic linen-like fabric.
