Crown Pocket Stocking

Here's a slightly more urban version of the denim pocket stocking.  Once again, all the denim is recycled, representing at least five pairs of jeans and one large skirt.

Lone Star Pocket Stocking

Now for something a little different.  This stocking is made entirely from recycled denim and all the pockets are fully functional.  Stuff the inside AND the outside!  This particular one has a minimalist cowgirl design without a lot of flash.

Gone to the Dogs - "Zoey"

This is my first pet stocking, made for my sister's adorable little dog, Zoey.  It is also my first denim "pocket stocking," which is also made entirely of recycled denim.  Don't worry, it's been thoroughly laundered!  The heart-shaped pockets came from an old pair of toddler jeans, and are still fully functional.  I hope Zo-zo is a Levi's kind of dog.  At approximately 13.5" it is one of the smaller stockings, lined with cotton quilting fabric.

A later addition, the name tag.

Stardust - "Bonnie"

This piece was requested for my cousin, who reportedly likes "angels and country churches."  The church was entirely handmade of felt, except for the Vintaj brass accents.  The stained glass was made with seed beads.  The angel was a button, and the spray of stardust was made with individually stitched seed beads, matching the original pattern of the fabric.  Some were reflective and other clear to give it a slight shimmery effect.  The lining is cotton quilting fabric.

Austen I - "Amy"

This commission required that I combine three loves of Jane Austen, music, and the color sky blue.  The master design is a needlepoint rendering of the musical notation of Adeste Fidelis in Gregorian chant.  The crest is decorated with tassels and satin covered buttons.

Colt

This cowboy-style stocking was made for a distant newborn cousin of mine in Montana.  The saddle on the horse was made of genuine leather with as much accuracy as possible on such a small scale.  All the rope, bridle and reins were handmade of sewing thread.  The body was made of blue denim, lined with white satin.

Blue Countess ~ $20 (SOLD)

This was a relatively simple design, made of blue lace over blue crushed velvet with a sort of choker design at the top.  It is approximately 14" long with a blue satin lining.

Starry Night ~ $30

Starry Night is a simple design, approximately 14" long, made of a sturdy cotton blend.   The lining is made of pale gold textured satin.  I'm not sure why it has a pink tinge in the pictures.  It looks better in person, trust me.

A matching name tag can be created if desired.

David, Jr.

This is the half sized stocking I made for our son, Little David, who died at two days old.  It is approximately 14" long, made of blue velvet with silver accent trim and white satin lining.

Each piece was made with the usual suspects: craft felt, ribbon, and glass seed beads.

The harp was for his biblical namesake, the scallop shell for being born and baptized in Monterey, California, and the little soldier was just cute.
